Surah Ash-Shu'ara 26:14 — translation and meaning
الشعراء · Verse 14 / 227 · Page 367
وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ

وَلَهُمْ

And they have
عَلَيَّ
alayya
against me
ذَنبٌ
dhanbun
a crime
فَأَخَافُ
fa-akhafu
so I fear
أَن

that
يَقْتُلُونِ
yaqtuluni
they will kill me
Transliteration
Wa lahum 'alaiya zambun fa akhaafu ai yaqtuloon
Translation
And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
They also have a charge against me because I had killed the Copt, and I fear they may kill me.
