أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا مِّن قَبْلِهِ فَهُم بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ

Transliteration

Am aatainaahum Kitaabam min qablihee fahum bihee mustamsikoon

Translation

Or have We given them a book before the Qur'an to which they are adhering?

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Or, have I given these idolaters a book before the Qur’ān that allows them to worship other than Allah, which they are holding fast to and using as evidence?
