أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ

Transliteration

Afanadribu 'ankumuz Zikra safhan an kuntum qawmam musrifeen

Translation

Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people?

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

I will not leave out the revelation of the Qur’ān to you and calling you to monotheism because you are engrossed in ascribing partners to Allah and violating His prohibitions. I will not do so, as mercy for you demands otherwise.
