Surah Az-Zumar 39:20 — translation and meaning
الزمر · Verse 20 / 75 · Page 460
ۖ ۖ لَكِنِ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوْا رَبَّهُمْ لَهُمْ غُرَفٌ مِّن فَوْقِهَا غُرَفٌ مَّبْنِيَّةٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ لَا يُخْلِفُ اللَّهُ الْمِيعَادَ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Laakinil lazeenat taqaw Rabbahum lahum ghurafum min fawqihaa ghurafum mabniyyatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; wa'dal laah; laa yukhliful laahul mee'aad
Translation
But those who have feared their Lord - for them are chambers, above them chambers built high, beneath which rivers flow. [This is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in [His] promise.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
But those who are mindful of their Lord, by fulfilling His instructions and avoiding His prohibitions, they will have lofty dwellings, one above the other, underneath which rivers flow. Allah has made a firm promise of this to them and Allah does not break His promise. He is far above that.
