Surah Az-Zumar 39:51 — translation and meaning
الزمر · Verse 51 / 75 · Page 464
ۚ فَأَصَابَهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَالَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ سَيُصِيبُهُمْ سَيِّئَاتُ مَا كَسَبُوا وَمَا هُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Fa asaabahum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo; wallazeena zalamoo min haaa'ulaaa'i sa yuzeebuhum saiyi aatu maa kasaboo wa maa hum bimu'jizeen
Translation
And the evil consequences of what they earned struck them. And those who have wronged of these [people] will be afflicted by the evil consequences of what they earned; and they will not cause failure.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
The recompense for the evils of idolatry and sins that they committed caught up with them. Those who wronged themselves by idolatry and sins, from these who are present, will also be caught up by the recompense for the evils of what they committed just like those in the past. They will not escape from Allah nor defeat Him.
