Surah Fussilat 41:36 — translation and meaning

ۖ وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

wa-imma
And if
يَنزَغَنَّكَ
yanzaghannaka
whisper comes to you
مِنَ

الشَّيْطَانِ
al-shaytani
the Shaitan
نَزْغٌ
nazghun
an evil suggestion
فَاسْتَعِذْ
fa-is'ta'idh
then seek refuge
بِاللَّهِ
bil-lahi
in Allah
إِنَّهُ
innahu
Indeed He
هُوَ
huwa
[He]
السَّمِيعُ
al-sami'u
(is) the All-Hearer
الْعَلِيمُ
al-'alimu
the All-Knower

Transliteration

Wa immaa yanzaghannaka minash Shaitaani nazghun fasta'iz billaahi innahoo Huwas Samee'ul 'Aleem

Translation

And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

And if the satan whispers evil to you at any time, hold fast to Allah and seek refuge in Him. He is the Hearing of whatever you say and the Knower of your situation.
