Surah Ghafir 40:6 — translation and meaning

وَكَذَلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ

disbelieved
أَنَّهُمْ

أَصْحَابُ
ashabu
(are) companions
النَّارِ
al-nari
(of) the Fire

Transliteration

Wa kazaalika haqqat Kalimatu Rabbika 'alal lazeena kafarooo annahum Ashaabun Naar

Translation

And thus has the word of your Lord come into effect upon those who disbelieved that they are companions of the Fire.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Like how Allah decided to destroy those denying nations, the Word of your Lord, O Messenger, is binding against the disbelievers, that they will be the inmates of the Fire.
