Surah Ta-Ha 20:135 — translation and meaning

ۖ قُلْ كُلٌّ مُّتَرَبِّصٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَصْحَابُ الصِّرَاطِ السَّوِيِّ وَمَنِ اهْتَدَى

(is) waiting
فَتَرَبَّصُوا
fatarabbasu
so await
فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ
fasata'lamuna
Then you will know
مَنْ
man
who
أَصْحَابُ
ashabu
(are the) companions
الصِّرَاطِ
al-sirati
(of) the way
السَّوِيِّ
al-sawiyi
[the] even
وَمَنِ
wamani
and who
اهْتَدَى
ih'tada
is guided
Transliteration
Qul kullum mutarabbisun fatarabbasoo fasta'lamoona man Ashaabus Siraatis Sawiyyi wa manih tadaa
Translation
Say, "Each [of us] is waiting; so wait. For you will know who are the companions of the sound path and who is guided."
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
O Messenger, say to these deniers: “Each one of us and you awaits what Allah will carry out, so wait. You will most certainly come to know who are the people of the straight path and who are the guided: us or you?”
