Surah Yunus 10:53 — translation and meaning

ۖ ۖ وَيَسْتَنبِئُونَكَ أَحَقٌّ هُوَ قُلْ إِي وَرَبِّي إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ
Word by Word

وَيَسْتَنبِئُونَكَ
wayastanbiunaka
And they ask you to inform
أَحَقٌّ
ahaqqun
Is it true
هُوَ
huwa
Is it true
قُلْ
qul
Say
إِي
i
Yes
وَرَبِّي
warabbi
by my Lord
إِنَّهُ
innahu
Indeed, it
لَحَقٌّ
lahaqqun
(is) surely the truth
وَمَا
wama
and not
أَنتُم
antum
you
بِمُعْجِزِينَ
bimu'jizina
(can) escape (it)
Transliteration
Wa yastambi'oonaka ahaqqun huwa qul ee wa Rabbeee innahoo lahaqq; wa maaa antum bimu'jizeen
Translation
And they ask information of you, [O Muhammad], "Is it true?" Say, "Yes, by my Lord. Indeed, it is truth; and you will not cause failure [to Allah]."
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
The idolaters ask you O Messenger f this punishment which they have been promised is true? Tell them: 'By Allah! It is the very truth and you cannot get away from it.'
