Surah Yunus 10:92 — translation and meaning

ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ نُنَجِّيكَ بِبَدَنِكَ لِتَكُونَ لِمَنْ خَلْفَكَ آيَةً وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ النَّاسِ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا لَغَافِلُونَ

Word by Word

فَالْيَوْمَ
fal-yawma
So today
نُنَجِّيكَ
nunajjika
We will save you
بِبَدَنِكَ
bibadanika
in your body
لِتَكُونَ
litakuna
that you may be
لِمَنْ
liman
for (those) who
خَلْفَكَ
khalfaka
succeed you
آيَةً
ayatan
a sign
وَإِنَّ
wa-inna
And indeed
كَثِيرًا
kathiran
many
مِّنَ
mina
among
النَّاسِ
al-nasi
the mankind
عَنْ
an
of
آيَاتِنَا
ayatina
Our Signs
لَغَافِلُونَ
laghafiluna
(are) surely heedless

Transliteration

Falyawma nunajjeeka bibadanika litakoona liman khalfaka Aayah; wa inna kaseeram minan naasi 'an aayaatinaa laghaafiloon

Translation

So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

So today I will take you out, O Pharaoh, from the sea and place you on a high piece of ground so that those who come after you can take a lesson from you. But many people are unmindful of My proof and evidence indicating My power, and they do not reflect over them.
