المائدة · Verset 107 / 120 · Page 125
فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَى أَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّا إِثْمًا فَآخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَوْلَيَانِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ لَشَهَادَتُنَا أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَا إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

Then if

اسْتَحَقَّا
is'tahaqqa
(were) guilty
إِثْمًا

فَآخَرَانِ

then (let) two others
يَقُومَانِ
yaqumani
stand
مَقَامَهُمَا
maqamahuma
(in) their place
مِنَ
mina
from
الَّذِينَ
alladhina
those who
اسْتَحَقَّ
is'tahaqqa
have a lawful right
عَلَيْهِمُ
alayhimu
over them
الْأَوْلَيَانِ
al-awlayani
the former two
فَيُقْسِمَانِ
fayuq'simani
and let them both swear
بِاللَّهِ
bil-lahi
by Allah
لَشَهَادَتُنَا
lashahadatuna
Surely our testimony
أَحَقُّ
ahaqqu
(is) truer
مِن
min
than
شَهَادَتِهِمَا
shahadatihima
testimony of the other two
وَمَا
wama
and not
اعْتَدَيْنَا
i'tadayna
we have transgressed
إِنَّا
inna
Indeed, we
إِذًا
idhan
then
لَّمِنَ
lamina
(will be) of
الظَّالِمِينَ
al-zalimina
the wrongdoers
