ۚ وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ

your Lord

He seizes
الْقُرَى
al-qura
the cities
وَهِيَ
wahiya
while they
ظَالِمَةٌ
zalimatun
(are) doing wrong
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
أَخْذَهُ
akhdhahu
His seizure
أَلِيمٌ
alimun
(is) painful
شَدِيدٌ
shadidun
(and) severe
