Surah Al-An'am 6:16 — translation and meaning

ۚ مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ وَذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ

فَقَدْ
faqad
then surely
رَحِمَهُ
rahimahu
He had Mercy on him
وَذَلِكَ
wadhalika
And that
الْفَوْزُ
al-fawzu
(is) the success
الْمُبِينُ
al-mubinu
(the) clear
Transliteration
Mai yusraf 'anhu Yawma'izin faqad rahimah; wa zaalikal fawzul mubeen
Translation
He from whom it is averted that Day - [Allah] has granted him mercy. And that is the clear attainment.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
The person from whom Allah keeps away and removes the punishment on the Day of Rising has attained success through the mercy of Allah. Such salvation and safety from the punishment is a clear victory which no other victory can equal.
