Surah Al-Anbiya 21:77 — translation and meaning
الأنبياء · Verse 77 / 112 · Page 328
ۚ وَنَصَرْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

And We helped him

Our Signs

فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ
fa-aghraqnahum
so We drowned them
أَجْمَعِينَ
ajma'ina
all
Transliteration
Wa nasarnaahu minal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa; innahum kkaanoo qawma saw'in fa-aghraq naahum ajma'een
Translation
And We saved him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
I saved him from the evil plot of those of his people who rejected the signs that I supported him with; those signs that pointed to his truthfulness. Indeed, they were evil, corrupt people, and so I destroyed them all by drowning them.
