Surah Al-Anbiya 21:95 — translation and meaning

وَحَرَامٌ عَلَى قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

Transliteration

Wa haraamun 'alaa qaryatin ahlaknaahaaa annahum laa yarji'oon

Translation

And there is prohibition upon [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

It is impossible for the people of a village I destroyed due to their disbelief that they return to the world to repent, and that I accept their repentance.
