وَاقْتَرَبَ الْوَعْدُ الْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِيَ شَاخِصَةٌ أَبْصَارُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يَاوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِي غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ

وَاقْتَرَبَ
wa-iq'taraba
And has approached
الْوَعْدُ
al-wa'du
the promise
الْحَقُّ
al-haqu
[the] true
فَإِذَا
fa-idha
then behold
هِيَ
hiya

شَاخِصَةٌ
shakhisatun
(are) staring
أَبْصَارُ
absaru
(the) eyes
الَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
كَفَرُوا

disbelieved
يَاوَيْلَنَا
yawaylana
O woe to us!
قَدْ
qad
Verily
كُنَّا
kunna
we had been
فِي
fi
in
غَفْلَةٍ
ghaflatin
heedlessness
مِّنْ
min
of
هَذَا
hadha
this
بَلْ
bal
nay
كُنَّا
kunna
we were
ظَالِمِينَ
zalimina
wrongdoers
