Surah Al-'Ankabut 29:27 — translation and meaning

ۖ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَجْرَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Wa wahabnaa lahoo Ishaaqa wa Ya'Qooba wa ja'alnaa fee zurriyyatihin Nubuwwata wal Kitaaba wa aatainaahu ajrahoo fid dunyaa wa innahoo fil aakhirati laminas saaliheen
Translation
And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
I gave Abraham Isaac and his son, Jacob. I placed prophethood and revealed scriptures from Allah among his offspring. I gave him the rewards of his steadfastness on the truth in this world, and in the life to come he will be given the reward of the righteous. What he was given in the world will not reduce the noble reward that has been prepared for him in the afterlife.
