Surah Al-'Ankabut 29:28 — translation and meaning

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُم بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنَ الْعَالَمِينَ

Transliteration

Wa Lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee innakum laatoonal faahishata maa sabaqakum bihaa min ahadim minal 'aalameen

Translation

And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

O Messenger, remember the story of Lot when he said to his people: You are committing a terrible sin that was not perpetrated before you by anyone in the whole world. You are the first to innovate this sin that goes against the sound nature of man.
