Surah Al-A'raf 7:10 — translation and meaning

ۗ وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ

وَلَقَدْ

And certainly
مَكَّنَّاكُمْ

We established you

الْأَرْضِ
al-ardi
the earth
وَجَعَلْنَا
waja'alna
and We made
لَكُمْ

for you
فِيهَا

in it
مَعَايِشَ
ma'ayisha
livelihood
قَلِيلًا
qalilan
Little
مَّا
ma
(is) what
تَشْكُرُونَ
tashkuruna
you (are) grateful
Transliteration
Wa laqad makkannaakum fil ardi wa ja'alnaa lakum feehaa ma'aayish; qaleelam maa tashkuroon
Translation
And We have certainly established you upon the earth and made for you therein ways of livelihood. Little are you grateful.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
Allah certainly established you, O children of Adam, on the earth, and gave you the means of making a living. You should be thankful to Allah for that, but you give little thanks.
