Surah Al-A'raf 7:8 — translation and meaning

ۚ وَالْوَزْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

يَوْمَئِذٍ

الْحَقُّ
al-haqu
(will be) the truth
فَمَن
faman
So whose
ثَقُلَتْ
thaqulat
(will be) heavy
مَوَازِينُهُ
mawazinuhu
his scales
فَأُولَئِكَ
fa-ulaika
then those
هُمُ
humu
[they]
الْمُفْلِحُونَ
al-muf'lihuna
(will be) the successful ones

Transliteration

Walwaznu Yawma'izinil haqq; faman saqulat mawaa zeenuhoo fa-ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon

Translation

And the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it is they who will be the successful.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

The weighing of what they did on the Day of Judgement will be with justice, with no one being wronged in the least. Those whose good actions weigh more than their bad actions have succeeded in reaching the goal and being saved from what they feared.
