Surah Al-Baqara 2:110 — translation and meaning

ۗ ۚ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنْ خَيْرٍ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ

wa-aqimu
And establish
الصَّلَاةَ

the prayer
وَآتُوا

tuqaddimu
you send forth
لِأَنفُسِكُم
li-anfusikum
for yourselves
مِّنْ

خَيْرٍ
khayrin
good (deeds)
تَجِدُوهُ
tajiduhu
you will find it
عِندَ
inda
with
اللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
اللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
بِمَا
bima
of what
تَعْمَلُونَ
ta'maluna
you do
بَصِيرٌ
basirun
(is) All-Seer

Transliteration

Wa aqeemus salaata wa aatuz zakaah; wa maa tuqaddimoo li anfusikum min khairin tajidoohu 'indal laah; innal laaha bimaa ta'maloona baseer

Translation

And establish prayer and give zakah, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with Allah. Indeed, Allah of what you do, is Seeing.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Establish the prayer with all its parts, both obligatory and recommended aspects, and give Zakat from their wealth to those who deserve it. Whatever good action they do in life before death will be a treasure for them: the reward of which they will find with their Lord on the Day of Judgement. Allah sees all that you do, and rewards everyone accordingly.
