Surah Al-Insan 76:28 — translation and meaning

ۖ نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا

خَلَقْنَاهُمْ

created them
وَشَدَدْنَا
washadadna
and We strengthened
أَسْرَهُمْ
asrahum
their forms
وَإِذَا
wa-idha
and when
شِئْنَا
shi'na
We will
بَدَّلْنَا
baddalna
We can change
أَمْثَالَهُمْ
amthalahum
their likeness[es]
تَبْدِيلًا
tabdilan
(with) a change
Transliteration
Nahnu khalaqnaahum wa shadadnaaa asrahum wa izaa shi'naa baddalnaaa amsaala hum tabdeelaa
Translation
We have created them and strengthened their forms, and when We will, We can change their likenesses with [complete] alteration.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
I have created them and strengthened their creation by giving strength in their joints, limbs etc. And if I wanted to destroy them and replace them with people like them, I would have done so.
