وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا

الذُّلِّ

مِنَ

الرَّحْمَةِ

وَقُل

and say
رَّبِّ
rabbi
My Lord!
ارْحَمْهُمَا
ir'hamhuma
Have mercy on both of them
كَمَا
kama
as
رَبَّيَانِي
rabbayani
they brought me up
صَغِيرًا
saghiran
(when I was) small

Transliteration

Wakhfid lahumaa janaahaz zulli minar rahmati wa qur Rabbir hamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanee sagheera

Translation

And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small."

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Humble yourself before them in humility and out of compassion, and say: O My Lord, be merciful to them as they have brought me up in my childhood.
