Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against the self. Then to your Lord you will be returned.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Whoever does good actions, the result of his good action is for him, And Allah is in no need of his actions. And whoever does bad, the result of his bad action is that he will be punished for it; Allah is not harmed by his bad. Then to Me alone you will be returned so I can reward everyone with what they deserve.
