Surah Al-Qasas 28:40 — translation and meaning
القصص · Verse 40 / 88 · Page 390
ۖ فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ فَانظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ

فَأَخَذْنَاهُ
fa-akhadhnahu
So We seized him
وَجُنُودَهُ
wajunudahu
and his hosts
فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ
fanabadhnahum
and We threw them
فِي
fi
in
الْيَمِّ
al-yami
the sea
فَانظُرْ
fa-unzur
So see
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
كَانَ
kana
was
عَاقِبَةُ
aqibatu
(the) end
الظَّالِمِينَ
al-zalimina
(of) the wrongdoers
Transliteration
Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatuz zaalimeen
Translation
So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
So I seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, destroying them by drowning them all. O Messenger! Ponder over what the outcome and ending of the oppressors was: it was destruction.
