قَالَ نَكِّرُوا لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِي أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ

Transliteration

Qaala nakkiroo lahaa 'arshahaa nanzur atahtadeee am takoonu minal lazeena laa yahtadoon

Translation

He said, "Disguise for her her throne; we will see whether she will be guided [to truth] or will be of those who is not guided."

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

Solomon (peace be upon him) said: “Change her royal throne from its original form: we shall see: is she guided to recognising it is her throne or will she be from those who are not guided to recognising their own things?”
