Surah Az-Zukhruf 43:24 — translation and meaning

ۖ قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُم بِأَهْدَى مِمَّا وَجَدتُّمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُم بِهِ كَافِرُونَ
Word by Word
Transliteration
Qaala awa law ji'tukum bi ahdaa mimmaa wajattum 'alaihi aabaaa'akum qaalooo innaa bimaaa ursiltum bihee kaafiroon
Translation
[Each warner] said, "Even if I brought you better guidance than that [religion] upon which you found your fathers?" They said, "Indeed we, in that with which you were sent, are disbelievers."
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
Their messengers said to them, “Will you follow your forefathers even if I brought to you something that was better than the belief they were on?” They said, “Indeed, we reject whatever you and the messengers before you have been sent with.”
