Surah Fussilat 41:29 — translation and meaning

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا رَبَّنَا أَرِنَا اللَّذَيْنِ أَضَلَّانَا مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ الْأَسْفَلِينَ

disbelieve
رَبَّنَا

Our Lord!
أَرِنَا

اللَّذَيْنِ

misled us
مِنَ

الْجِنِّ
al-jini
the jinn
وَالْإِنسِ
wal-insi
and the men
نَجْعَلْهُمَا
naj'alhuma
(so) we may put them
تَحْتَ
tahta
under
أَقْدَامِنَا
aqdamina
our feet
لِيَكُونَا
liyakuna
that they be
مِنَ
mina
of
الْأَسْفَلِينَ
al-asfalina
the lowest

Transliteration

Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo Rabbanaaa arinal lazaini adal laanaa minal jinni wal insi naj'alhumaa tahta aqdaaminaa liyakoonaa minal asfaleen

Translation

And those who disbelieved will [then] say, "Our Lord, show us those who misled us of the jinn and men [so] we may put them under our feet that they will be among the lowest."

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

And those who disbelieved in Allah and rejected His messengers will say, “O our Lord! Show us those humans and Jinn who led us astray: Iblīs who introduced disbelief and inviting towards it and the son of Adam who introduced bloodshed, so that we can put them in the hellfire under our feet; so that they are the lowest of the people and the ones most severely punished.”
