Surah Luqman 31:23 — translation and meaning

ۚ ۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ كُفْرُهُ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

فَلَا

يَحْزُنكَ

grieve you

To Us
مَرْجِعُهُمْ
marji'uhum
(is) their return
فَنُنَبِّئُهُم
fanunabbi-uhum
then We will inform them
بِمَا
bima
of what
عَمِلُوا
amilu
they did
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
اللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
عَلِيمٌ
alimun
(is) the All-Knower
بِذَاتِ
bidhati
of what
الصُّدُورِ
al-suduri
(is in) the breasts

Transliteration

Wa man kafara falaa yahzunka kufruh; ilainaa marji'uhum fanunabbi'uhum bimaa 'amiloo; innal laaha 'aleemum bizaatis sudoor

Translation

And whoever has disbelieved - let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return, and We will inform them of what they did. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

O Messenger! Whoever disbelieves in Allah, let not their disbelief grieve you. To Me alone they will return on the Day of Judgement; I will inform them of the evils they committed in the world and requite them for them. Indeed, Allah knows what is in the hearts; nothing is hidden from Him.
