Surah Maryam 19:84 — translation and meaning

ۖ فَلَا تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّا

Transliteration
Falaa ta'jal alaihim innamaa na 'uddu lahum 'addaa
Translation
So be not impatient over them. We only count out to them a [limited] number.
Verse interpretation (Tafsir)
Do not be hasty, O Messenger, in asking Allah to punish them quickly. I am keeping a close record of their lives, until when the period of their respite comes to an end, I will punish them with what they deserve.
