Surah Ta-Ha 20:7 — translation and meaning

وَإِن تَجْهَرْ بِالْقَوْلِ فَإِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ السِّرَّ وَأَخْفَى

بِالْقَوْلِ

فَإِنَّهُ

then indeed He
يَعْلَمُ
ya'lamu

السِّرَّ

وَأَخْفَى
wa-akhfa
and the more hidden

Transliteration

Wa in tajhar bilqawli fainnahoo ya'lamus sirra wa akhfaa

Translation

And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden.

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

If you, O Messenger, proclaim the word or conceal it, He, may He be glorified, knows all of that. He knows the secrets and what is even more hidden, such as thoughts in the mind. Nothing is hidden from Him.
