The Day of Arafat (Yawm al-Arafat) is the most important pillar of Hajj. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Hajj is Arafat." Pilgrims stand on the plain of Arafat from after sunrise until sunset, devoting the entire day to supplication, repentance, and worship. Dhuhr and Asr prayers are combined and shortened. This is the day when Allah descends to the lowest heaven and frees more people from Hellfire than on any other day.
There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things.
