HajjMasjid al-Haram, around the Kaaba, MakkahDay 10 of Dhul Hijjah (can be delayed until the 12th)

Tawaf al-Ifadah (also called Tawaf al-Ziyarah) is a fundamental pillar of Hajj. The pilgrim performs seven circuits around the Kaaba, starting from the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad). This Tawaf is followed by Sa'i between Safa and Marwa (seven times) if it was not performed earlier. After completing this Tawaf, the state of Ihram is fully lifted and all previously prohibited acts become permissible again.
