أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا
Mot a mot
أَلَمْ
alam
Do you not
تَرَ
tara
see
إِلَى
ila
[to]
رَبِّكَ
rabbika
your Lord
كَيْفَ
kayfa
how
مَدَّ
madda
He extends
الظِّلَّ
al-zila
the shadow
وَلَوْ
walaw
And if
شَاءَ
shaa
He willed
لَجَعَلَهُ
laja'alahu
surely He (could) have made it
سَاكِنًا
sakinan
stationary
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
جَعَلْنَا
ja'alna
We made
الشَّمْسَ
al-shamsa
the sun
عَلَيْهِ
alayhi
for it
دَلِيلًا
dalilan
an indication
