ۚ ۖ ۚ وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ أَيْقَاظًا وَهُمْ رُقُودٌ وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَكَلْبُهُم بَاسِطٌ ذِرَاعَيْهِ بِالْوَصِيدِ لَوِ اطَّلَعْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَوَلَّيْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِرَارًا وَلَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْبًا
Mot a mot
ۚ
ۖ
ۚ
وَتَحْسَبُهُمْ
watahsabuhum
And you (would) think them
أَيْقَاظًا
ayqazan
awake
وَهُمْ
wahum
while they
رُقُودٌ
ruqudun
(were) asleep
وَنُقَلِّبُهُمْ
wanuqallibuhum
And We turned them
ذَاتَ
dhata
to
الْيَمِينِ
al-yamini
the right
وَذَاتَ
wadhata
and to
الشِّمَالِ
al-shimali
the left
وَكَلْبُهُم
wakalbuhum
while their dog
بَاسِطٌ
basitun
stretched
ذِرَاعَيْهِ
dhira'ayhi
his two forelegs
بِالْوَصِيدِ
bil-wasidi
at the entrance
لَوِ
lawi
If
اطَّلَعْتَ
ittala'ta
you had looked
عَلَيْهِمْ
alayhim
at them
لَوَلَّيْتَ
lawallayta
you (would) have surely turned back
مِنْهُمْ
min'hum
from them
فِرَارًا
firaran
(in) flight
وَلَمُلِئْتَ
walamuli'ta
and surely you would have been filled
مِنْهُمْ
min'hum
by them
رُعْبًا
ru'ban
(with) terror
