ۚ وَعَلَى الثَّلَاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا حَتَّى إِذَا ضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَرْضُ بِمَا رَحُبَتْ وَضَاقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنفُسُهُمْ وَظَنُّوا أَن لَّا مَلْجَأَ مِنَ اللَّهِ إِلَّا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَتُوبُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ
Mot a mot
ۚ
وَعَلَى
wa'ala
And on
الثَّلَاثَةِ
al-thalathati
the three
الَّذِينَ
alladhina
(of) those who
خُلِّفُوا
khullifu
were left behind
حَتَّى
hatta
until
إِذَا
idha
when
ضَاقَتْ
daqat
(was) straitened
عَلَيْهِمُ
alayhimu
for them
الْأَرْضُ
al-ardu
the earth
بِمَا
bima
though
رَحُبَتْ
rahubat
it was vast
وَضَاقَتْ
wadaqat
And (was) straitened
عَلَيْهِمْ
alayhim
for them
أَنفُسُهُمْ
anfusuhum
their own souls
وَظَنُّوا
wazannu
and they were certain
أَن
an
that
لَّا
la
(there is) no
مَلْجَأَ
malja-a
refuge
مِنَ
mina
from
اللَّهِ
al-lahi
Allah
إِلَّا
illa
except
إِلَيْهِ
ilayhi
to Him
ثُمَّ
thumma
Then
تَابَ
taba
He turned (in mercy)
عَلَيْهِمْ
alayhim
to them
لِيَتُوبُوا
liyatubu
that they may repent
إِنَّ
inna
Indeed
اللَّهَ
al-laha
Allah
هُوَ
huwa
He
التَّوَّابُ
al-tawabu
(is) the Acceptor of repentance
الرَّحِيمُ
al-rahimu
the Most Merciful
