Sourate Muhammad 47:18 — traduction et sens du verset

ۖ ۚ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَن تَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةً فَقَدْ جَاءَ أَشْرَاطُهَا فَأَنَّى لَهُمْ إِذَا جَاءَتْهُمْ ذِكْرَاهُمْ

Then do
يَنظُرُونَ
yanzuruna
they wait
إِلَّا
illa
but
السَّاعَةَ
al-sa'ata
(for) the Hour
أَن

تَأْتِيَهُم

it should come to them
بَغْتَةً
baghtatan
suddenly
فَقَدْ
faqad
But indeed
جَاءَ
jaa
have come
أَشْرَاطُهَا
ashratuha
its indications
فَأَنَّى
fa-anna
Then how
لَهُمْ
lahum
to them
إِذَا
idha
when
جَاءَتْهُمْ
jaathum
has come to them
ذِكْرَاهُمْ
dhik'rahum
their reminder

Translittération

Fahal yanzuroona illas Saa'ata an taatiyahum baghtatan faqad jaaa'a ashraatuhaa; fa-annnaa lahum izaa jaaa'at hum zikraahum

Traduction

Qu'est-ce qu'ils attendent sinon que l'Heure leur vienne à l'improviste? Or ses signes avant-coureurs sont certes déjà venus. Et comment pourront-ils se rappeler quand elle leur viendra (à l'improviste)?

Interprétation du verset (Tafsir)

Qu’est-ce que les mécréants attendent, sinon que l’Heure survienne sans qu’ils ne s’en rendent compte? Les signes de l’Heure se sont déjà manifestés, parmi lesquels il y a: l’envoi du Prophète et la fissuration de la lune. Comment pourront-ils donc se rappeler lorsque l’Heure les surprendra?
