ثُمَّ تَوَلَّوْا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا مُعَلَّمٌ مَّجْنُونٌ

Transliteration

Summaa tawallaw 'anhu wa qaaloo mu'allamum majnoon

Translation

Then they turned away from him and said, "[He was] taught [and is] a madman."

Verse interpretation (Tafsir)

They turned away from believing in him, and said about him, “He was taught. Other people taught him; he is not a messenger.” They also said, “He is a madman.”
