Sourate At-Tawba (Le Repentir) 9:77 — traduction et sens du verset

التوبة · Verset 77 / 129 · Page 199

فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ نِفَاقًا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ يَلْقَوْنَهُ بِمَا أَخْلَفُوا اللَّهَ مَا وَعَدُوهُ وَبِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ

Mot à mot

فَأَعْقَبَهُمْ
fa-a'qabahum
So He penalized them
نِفَاقًا
nifaqan
(with) hypocrisy
فِي
fi
in
قُلُوبِهِمْ
qulubihim
their hearts
إِلَى
ila
until
يَوْمِ
yawmi
the day
يَلْقَوْنَهُ
yalqawnahu
when they will meet Him
بِمَا
bima
because
أَخْلَفُوا
akhlafu
they broke
اللَّهَ
al-laha
(the covenant) with Allah
مَا
ma
what
وَعَدُوهُ
wa'aduhu
they had promised Him
وَبِمَا
wabima
and because
كَانُوا
kanu
they used to
يَكْذِبُونَ
yakdhibuna
lie

Translittération

Fa a'qabahum nifaaqan fee quloobihim ilaa Yawmi yalqaw nahoo bimaaa akhlaful laaha maa wa'adoohu wa bimaa kaanoo yakhziboon

Traduction

Il a donc suscité l'hypocrisie dans leurs cœurs, et cela jusqu'au jour où ils Le rencontreront, pour avoir violé ce qu'ils avaient promis à Allah et pour avoir menti.

Interprétation du verset (Tafsir)

Allah enracina, en guise de punition pour avoir violé leur engagement envers Allah et pour leurs mensonges, cette hypocrisie de façon permanente dans leurs cœurs jusqu’au Jour de la Résurrection.
