حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَالَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ

hatta
Until
إِذَا
idha
when
جَاءَنَا
jaana
he comes to Us
قَالَ
qala
he says
يَالَيْتَ
yalayta
O would that
بَيْنِي
bayni
between me
وَبَيْنَكَ
wabaynaka
and between you
بُعْدَ
bu'da
(were the) distance
الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ
al-mashriqayni
(of) the East and the West
فَبِئْسَ
fabi'sa
How wretched is
الْقَرِينُ
al-qarinu
the companion!
