Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) governs Muslim life in worship and social relations. These hadiths form the evidence for Islamic legal rulings.
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no day on which Allah sets free more of His slaves from Fire than the Day of ‘Arafah. He verily draws near, then He boasts about them before the angels saying: What do these people want?"
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Whenever the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) lifted his head from bowing in the last Rakʿah, he used to say: "O Allah, save ʿAyyāsh ibn Abu Rabīʿah. O Allah, save Salamah ibn Hishām. O Allah, save Al-Walīd ibn al-Walīd. O Allah, save the oppressed believers. O Allah, be hard on [the tribe of] Mudar. O Allah, afflict them with years of famine and drought like the years of Yūsuf!" The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) further said: "[The tribe of] Ghifār, Allah forgave them. [The tribe of] Aslam, Allah had peace with them." Ibn Abu Az-Zinād, reporting from his father, said: "All that was in the Fajr Prayer.”
Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "My brother has some abdominal trouble." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Let him drink honey." The man came for the second time and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Let him drink honey." He came for the third time and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let him drink honey." When he came for the fourth time, he said: "I have done that", and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has spoken the truth, and your brother's abdomen has lied. Let him drink honey." So he made him drink honey and he was cured.
Abu Salamah ibn ‘Abdur-Rahmān ibn ‘Awf reported: I asked ‘Ā'ishah, the Mother of the Believers, (may Allah be pleased with her) about the words with which the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to commence his voluntary night prayer. She said that when he got up at night, he would commence his prayer with these words: "O Allah, Lord of Jibrīl, Mikha'īl, and Israfil, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, You judge between Your slaves concerning that in which they used to differ. Guide me, by Your permission, to the truth about which people differ. Verily, You guide whom You will to the straight path!"
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that a man from the Children of Israel asked another to lend him one thousand dinars. The man asked him to bring witnesses. The former replied: "Allah is sufficient as witness." The second said: "Bring me a surety." The former replied: "Allah is sufficient as surety." The man said: "You are right," and lent him the money for a certain period. The first man went across the sea. When he finished his job, he searched for a conveyance so that he might reach the other in time for the repayment of the debt, but he could not find any. So he took a piece of wood and made a hole in it, inserted one thousand dinars and a letter to the lender in it, and then firmly closed (i.e. sealed) the hole. He took the piece of wood to the sea and said: "O Allah, You know well that I took a loan of one thousand dinars from so-and-so. He demanded a surety from me, but I told him that Allah's guarantee was sufficient, and he accepted Your guarantee. He then asked for a witness, and I told him that Allah was sufficient as witness, and he accepted You as Witness. No doubt, I tried hard to find a conveyance so that I could give him his money, but I could not find any, so I hand over this money to You." Saying that, he threw the piece of wood into the sea till it went out far into it, and then he went away. Meanwhile, he started searching for a conveyance in order to reach the creditor's country. One day, the lender came out to see whether a ship had arrived bringing his money, when all of a sudden, he saw the piece of wood in which his money had been deposited. He took it home to use it for fire. When he sawed it, he found his money and the letter inside it. Shortly after that, the debtor came, bringing one thousand dinars to him, and he said: "By Allah, I had been trying hard to find a boat so that I could send you your money, but I failed to find one before the one I have come by." The lender asked: "Have you sent something to me?" The debtor replied: "I told you I could not find a boat other than the one I have come by." The lender said: "Allah has delivered the money which you sent in the piece of wood on your behalf. So you may keep your one thousand dinars and depart while being guided on the straight path."
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), saying: O Messenger of Allah, we travel by sea, and we carry with us a little water. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Its water is purifying, and its dead animals are lawful."

So the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Water is not affected by Janābah."
Kabshah bint Ka‘b ibn Mālik, who was married to the son of Abu Qatādah, reported: Abu Qatādah came in so I poured out some water for him to use for ablution. A cat came to drink from it, so he tilted the vessel for it until it drank. Kabshah continued: He saw me looking at him and said: "Do you find it strange, O daughter of my brother?" I said: 'Yes.' He said: "The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'It is not impure. It is one of those who roam around among you.'"
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two kinds of dead meat and two kinds of blood have been made lawful for you. Al-‘Āliyah bint Subay‘ reported: I had some sheep at Uhud, and they began to die. I visited Maymūnah, the Prophet's wife, and mentioned it to her. Maymūnah said to me: "It would be better if you took their skins and made use of them." I asked: "Is that lawful?" She replied: "Yes. Some people of the Quraysh passed by the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) dragging one of their sheep like a donkey (in its size or for its disposal). The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: ‘Would that you took its skin.’ They said: ‘It died a natural death.’ The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: ‘Water and Qarazh (leaves of the mimosa) purify it.'"

I heard him say: "Indeed, Allah has given everyone deserving a right his due right. So, there is no will for an inheritor. The child belongs to the bed, and the adulterer gets the stone. Whoever claims to belong to someone other than his father or (a freed slave) attributes himself to those other than his masters, spurning them, upon him will be the curse of Allah, and no obligatory or supererogatory act of worship will be accepted from him."
